Privacy Policy

Remio ("we", "the app") helps you remember the documents, subscriptions and warranties that cost you money. This policy explains what we store, why, for how long, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Account: email address, an optional name, password hash (or the Apple / Google identity you sign in with), time zone, currency and language.
• Your items: the titles, dates, amounts, notes, tags and reminder settings you enter or confirm.
• Photos and files you attach to items. They are stored privately and served only through short-lived signed links.
• Devices: a push notification token per device you sign in on, its platform and app version, so reminders can reach you.
• Usage: which screens and features are used, without document content, to improve the product. Crash reports contain no document content.

AI document scanning

When you scan a document, the photo or PDF may be sent to our configured AI provider to read the fields on it. We review and disclose the provider's applicable data-processing terms before enabling sensitive-file processing. The provider's raw answer is kept by us for 30 days to debug extraction, then deleted. You always review and confirm what was read before anything is saved as an item.

Notifications and email

Reminders are delivered by push notification and, when you allow it, by email. We send transactional email only (verification codes, password reset, reminders you chose). No marketing email.

Payments

Subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google through RevenueCat. We never see or store card details; we receive only the subscription status.

Retention

• Deleted items stay recoverable for 30 days, deleted files for 7 days, then they are removed together with the stored objects.
• AI provider raw responses: 30 days.
• Notification history: 180 days. Reminder delivery records: 90 days. Security audit entries: 1 year.
• Account deletion: from the app (Profile → Delete account), or by email if you no longer have the app (see Delete your account). Your account is locked immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days, including every photo and file. Backups age out within the same window.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. Data is processed by our hosting provider, the AI provider described above, Apple/Google/RevenueCat for subscriptions, and our push and email delivery providers — each only for the purpose stated here.

Your rights

You can export and correct your data in the app, delete your account at any time, and contact us at support@remio.app for anything else, including access or deletion requests under GDPR or similar laws.

Changes

We will update this page and note the date above when the policy changes. Material changes are announced in the app.
